A suspended profile disappears from the map, and so do the calls it brought. It can usually be fixed, but the first few moves matter. Here's what to check, what to avoid and how to ask Google to reinstate it.

Why it happens
The usual reasons
- Extra keywords added to the business name
- An address that isn't a real place of work: a virtual office, a post box or a home address shown when customers don't visit
- A duplicate profile for the same business
- Big changes made all at once, such as a new name, address and category on the same day
- A category that doesn't match what the business does
- Activity Google flags as suspicious, sometimes with no clear reason

It usually gets suspended too, and it makes reinstating the original harder.
- Don't keep editing the suspended profile.
Each change can restart Google's review.
- Don't submit an appeal with no evidence.

Reinstatement
How to ask Google to reinstate it
- Fix what's wrong first. Remove keywords from the name, correct the address or hide it, and make sure the category matches your work.
- Gather your evidence. Usually some of: your company registration, a utility bill or lease in the business name, photos of your signage, vehicle or premises, and a short video showing the business is real.
- Submit Google's reinstatement request. From your profile, with the evidence attached.
- Wait for Google's reply. By email, and don't make other changes while you wait.
